The documents below are to help you get a better understanding Supreme Personality of Godhead of Shri Krishna. Please use the documents below to help supplement your study of the bonafide scriptures recommended for reading. It is very highly recommended that Bhagavad-Gita As It Is, Srimad Bhagavatam, Sri Isopanisad, Narada Bhakti Sutra, Teaching of Queen Kunti, and Teaching of Lord Kapila be studied especially translated by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. We have reviewed the translation by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada and found the translation to be proper and well presented.
We also recommend reading Shri Krishna Pranami scriptures like Kulzam Swaroop. Kulzam Swaroop is a compilation for fourteen individual books Shree Raas, Prakash, Shatritu, Kalash, Sanandh, Kirantan, Khulaasa, Khilvat, Parikarma, Saagar, Singaar, Sindhi, Maarfat Saagar, and Kyamat Naama authored by Shri Mahamati Prannath Swami. These books are sometimes difficult to understand due to translation issue because of the complex language used in them so please be more cautious in your understanding when reviewing these books. It is recommended that a spiritual guru that has spent considerable time studying these scriptures be approached with humbleness.
Also please make sure that when you are reading the recommend scriptures you read properly translated scriptures, as there are many out there that have been translated by poorly and/or with wrong intension. Authors with religiously politically motivated intension have illustrated and written some misrepresented information about Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna teaching and understanding requires deeper understanding of Vedic scriptures, along with above scriptures recommend above. If one wants to know Shri Krishna or God then one has to understand how the Supreme Personality of Godhead has expanded his energy to manifest the creation.
